ElevenLabs Launches GenFM, an AI Podcast Tool for Creating and Editing Podcasts, Competing with Google NotebookLM

ElevenLabs has launched a new AI-powered podcast creation tool named GenFM, which allows users to create and edit podcasts directly on the web. This tool also enables users to tune into AI-generated podcasts via ElevenReader, available on both Android and iOS platforms. The introduction of GenFM positions ElevenLabs as a competitor in the podcasting space, particularly against Google's NotebookLM. The tool allows users to generate full podcasts from a URL or file, enhancing the capabilities of content creators. The growing trend of AI podcasts is expected to shape the future of podcasting, as indicated by various industry experts and users alike. The announcement of GenFM comes amidst a broader expansion of AI podcasting tools, including Google's Illuminate Experiment, which offers voice customization features for generating audio podcasts.
