An analysis by GPTZeroAI of 100 top Substack authors has found that approximately 10% of Substack's top newsletters publish AI-generated or AI-assisted content. The findings, reported by WIRED, highlight the growing prevalence of artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT in the content creation processes of influential writers on the platform. Alex C, representing GPTZeroAI, commented, "It's hard not to be a little surprised." In response, Substack representative Helen Tobin stated that the company has mechanisms in place to detect and mitigate inauthentic activities. To acknowledge and support human-generated content, GPTZeroAI has launched a #CertifiedHuman badge for writers.
