Meta AI has taken its long-running Papers with Code platform offline as of 25 July 2025, ending a service that catalogued research papers alongside performance metrics and open-source implementations. To preserve the database’s core functionality, Meta AI has partnered with machine-learning model hub Hugging Face. The French-US start-up immediately introduced a replacement section called “Trending Papers,” hosted on its Paper Pages portal, allowing researchers to continue tracking state-of-the-art results and code repositories. Hugging Face said the new pages would inherit the metrics, links and browsing tools that made Papers with Code popular, while adding its own community features. Neither company disclosed financial terms of the hand-over.
I’ve always been a huge fan of @paperswithcode which allows to easily browse papers and find SOTA! Today @AIatMeta discontinued the service😢 luckily they partnered with @huggingface to give the trending papers page a new life 🔥 This is now live on HF’s Paper Pages 🤗 https://t.co/X3RsjucdLo
