Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang arrived in Taipei on 22 Aug. to meet executives at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., saying the world’s largest contract chipmaker is central to the U.S. company’s future products. Huang told reporters his "primary reason" for the trip was to visit TSMC and discuss manufacturing plans for Nvidia’s forthcoming Rubin processor line. He praised the foundry as “one of the greatest companies in the history of humanity” and called it “a very good investment,” underscoring the strategic importance of the partnership as demand for artificial-intelligence chips accelerates.
