OpenAI has released GPT-4o, a new version of its language model, which includes significant improvements in performance and functionality. The model, codenamed 'gpt-4o-canmore', can handle up to 32,767 tokens and features a canvas for collaborative writing and coding. In a one-shot prompt test, GPT-4o successfully built a revenue chart with shading underneath, meeting all requirements on the first attempt. This contrasts with Claude 3.5 sonnet, which failed to meet one requirement and had messy axes. Users are already leveraging GPT-4o for various applications, including creating topic labels with contextual information.
