X is testing a free version of its Grok AI chatbot, previously limited to premium users. Built by xAI, this version allows limited queries per session and includes image analysis capabilities. Users can make 10 queries every two hours with the Grok-2 model, 20 with Grok-2 mini, and three image analysis queries daily. Additionally, X plans to introduce a 'Relevant Web Pages' section for Grok, enabling web searches. However, newly-created accounts will not have access to the free version initially. The web search feature will initially roll out in the US. Some users are reportedly getting limited access to the AI chatbot even without an X subscription. X will soon make 'Regular' mode the default for Grok instead of fun mode.

So impressive that there are many options to 'enhance' the content on one of the 'other' platforms! I think X needs to add something similar, as Grok is native and multimodal. I created a new account just recently. https://t.co/31MKXncT2h
