I've always explained Bitcoin's lack of privacy as 'It's Twitter for your bank account.' Everything you do is broadcast publicly—it's the opposite of private. Now it's come full circle, with Elon describing Twitter's (sorry, X's) encrypted DMs as 'Bitcoin-style encryption. https://t.co/xntdee58U1 https://t.co/tCw3XHUIpM

Seriously, what is Bitcoin style encryption? Bitcoin primarily uses signatures, not encryption. This is like saying, we decided to run our rocket on water, since NASA uses Hydrogen and Oxygen. https://t.co/dWZhV6H4Tk
Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, has entered into a one-year agreement with Telegram to integrate its Grok chatbot into the messaging platform. Under the terms of the deal, xAI will pay Telegram $300 million in a combination of cash and equity. Telegram will also receive 50% of the subscription revenue generated from xAI's Grok subscriptions sold through the app. Grok's subscription costs $40 per month or $395 per year. The integration will make Grok accessible to all Telegram users, expanding beyond its previous availability to only premium users. The partnership aims to leverage Telegram's user base of over one billion people, providing xAI with a significant platform for distributing Grok. The rollout is expected to begin this summer. Pavel Durov, Telegram's CEO and co-founder, announced the agreement, stating 'Juntos ganamos' and highlighting its financial benefits for Telegram. Grok, developed by xAI, is a conversational AI tool similar to ChatGPT and Gemini, and is already available on X, the social media platform acquired by xAI in March. It remains unclear whether xAI will use Telegram user data for training its AI models, as it currently does with public posts on X. Telegram is currently under investigation in France.
