Argentina's industrial production increased by 5.8% year-on-year in May 2025, marking the sixth consecutive month of growth, according to data released by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC). On a monthly basis, industrial output rose by 2.2%. The fishing sector also showed growth, with maritime fishing expanding by 11.8% compared to May 2024 and 0.5% from April 2025. The construction sector presented mixed signals: while some reports indicated a decline in construction activity in May, other data showed an 8.6% year-on-year increase in construction for the same month. Overall, industrial production accumulated a 6.6% improvement in the year to date.
