Bank of America ($BAC) is losing business in Asia due to a block-trading probe involving allegations that its bankers in India shared nonpublic information with investors before stock sales. The bank has been removed from upcoming initial public offerings (IPOs) while it investigates the alleged sharing of nonpublic information, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. EQT, a prominent firm, pulled Bank of America from a student-loan IPO mandate. Other clients are also reconsidering their relationships with the bank as the investigation continues.
