Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, visited Azerbaijan on July 16, 2025. During his visit, he met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss matters of mutual interest. The delegation's activities included a visit to the tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors and a tour of Victory Park in Baku. Additionally, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, held a meeting with Oguljahan Atabayeva, daughter of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Oguljahan Atabayeva also visited the Heydar Aliyev Center during the visit. The meetings and visits underscored ongoing diplomatic and cultural engagements between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.
