The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) experienced a downtrend at the beginning of the week, with all three major indices registering losses in the first hour of trading on January 13, 2025. The session closed with declines in key indices on both the DSE and the Chattogram Stock Exchange (CSE), despite an increase in overall market turnover. In the previous trading session, around 131 issues advanced, while 173 declined, and 87 remained unchanged. Notably, nine major companies, including Beximco Limited, Summit Power, Islami Bank, Heidelberg, Linde, and Orion Pharma, have exited the DSE's elite club of top 30 stocks due to poor performance over the past three months.
