The TSE's overall index also gained 17,000 points, while the total trading value amounted to 130.6 trillion tomans. Meanwhile, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) experienced a downtrend on the same day, but showed signs of recovery with an upward trend in trading observed during the first hour of trading on January 8. The DSE's trading surpassed 430 million takas in the first half hour of trading on January 9, indicating increased activity despite fluctuations in the market. In contrast, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) reported a decline in its index during this period.
