Atari has partnered with Coinbase to bring classic arcade games like Asteroids and Breakout to the blockchain. The collaboration, part of the Onchain Summer initiative, involves other partners such as Base and Stack. The new Onchain Arcade will allow players to relive these games with scores and achievements recorded on the blockchain using onchain points and cryptography. Proceeds from game sales will be distributed to the developers, artists, and builders involved in the project. A leaderboard will be available for players to climb, and weekly rewards will be rolled out through August 30th to incentivize players.
