Michelle Mack, a SoCal woman, is accused of orchestrating a national crime ring that stole nearly $8 million worth of makeup and other goods from over 200 Ulta ($ULTA) stores, reselling them on her online Amazon storefront. She allegedly paid for the travel expenses of 12 women and provided them with a list of retail stores to target, including stores in 21 counties across California. The state has filed 140 charges against her. In a separate case, an Arizona woman faces nearly 150 animal cruelty charges, and the MSPCA is searching for the owner of a cat found severely injured with full-body burns in a store parking lot in Roslindale.
