YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul will meet undefeated WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis on 14 November at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, promoters said Wednesday. The fight, which Netflix will stream live to its global subscriber base, marks the streaming platform’s latest expansion into marquee live-sports events. The bout is being billed as an exhibition and will not involve Davis’s 135-pound title, a concession to the considerable size gap between the participants. Paul weighed 199.4 pounds for his cruiserweight victory over Julio César Chávez Jr. in June, while Davis tipped the scales at 133.8 pounds for his March draw with Lamont Roach—nearly a 65-pound difference. Paul, 28, has compiled a 12-1 professional record since turning pro in 2020 and recently entered the WBA cruiserweight rankings at No. 14. Davis, 30, is 30-0-1 with 28 knockouts and is considered among boxing’s top pound-for-pound talents. Promoters have yet to confirm the contracted weight, glove size or number of rounds for the contest. The announcement ends Paul’s preliminary talks for a potential 2026 showdown with former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and has drawn criticism from some fighters, notably Ryan Garcia, who argued the matchup undermines the sport’s competitive integrity. Even so, the event is expected to draw significant attention, following Netflix’s record-setting broadcast of Paul’s exhibition with Mike Tyson last year.
