The quarter-finals of the 2025 Copa do Nordeste concluded on Wednesday night, leaving CSA, Confiança, Bahia and Ceará as the four clubs still in contention for the regional trophy. Confiança opened the knockout round on Tuesday by eliminating Vitória in Salvador. Rafinha’s long-range effort deep into stoppage time sealed a 1–0 win for the Sergipe side and booked its first semi-final appearance since 2021. CSA joined them a day later with a 2–1 victory over Ferroviário at the Estádio Rei Pelé. Enzo converted an early penalty and Tiago Marques doubled the advantage after 19 minutes. Wesley Junio pulled one back for the visitors shortly before the interval, but the Alagoas club held on. In Salvador, Bahia defeated Fortaleza 2–1 to keep alive its bid for a record-extending fifth title. Willian José broke the deadlock from the spot on 40 minutes and Caio Alexandre doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time. Debutant Matheus Pereira halved the deficit for Fortaleza after the break, yet the hosts resisted late pressure to advance. The last berth was decided in Recife, where Ceará edged Sport 4–2 on penalties after a goalless 90 minutes under heavy rain. Goalkeeper Bruno Diniz saved one kick and watched Lucas Lima misfire to send the Fortaleza club through. The semi-finals will pit CSA against Confiança on one side of the bracket, while Bahia faces long-time rival Ceará on the other. Match dates are expected to be confirmed by the regional organisers in the coming days.
