The Brazilian Federal Police (PF) has launched multiple operations targeting fraud and corruption across various sectors. A significant operation against the alleged bicheiro Adilsinho was conducted in Rio de Janeiro. Concurrently, the PF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transparency and Comptroller General (CGU), is investigating irregularities involving the National Mining Agency (ANM) and geologists linked to a mining company, which has reportedly caused losses approaching R$ 832 million since 2014. In a separate case in Alagoas, the PF uncovered a scheme involving the fraudulent receipt of federal benefits, resulting in over R$ 2 million being misappropriated from pensions for deceased police officers. Additionally, a Caixa Econômica Federal employee was arrested for diverting R$ 1 million from over 400 beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program, highlighting ongoing issues of financial misconduct within government assistance programs.
