Brazilian Senators Seek Testimonies from BRB and Banco Master Heads Amid Investigation of Roberto Campos Neto and Lindbergh Farias

Senators from the Federal District are seeking to hear from the heads of Banco de Brasília (BRB) and Banco Master in a commission regarding recent allegations. The leader of the Workers' Party (PT) in the Chamber of Deputies has called for an investigation into Roberto Campos Neto, the head of the Central Bank of Brazil, concerning a regulation that allegedly allowed Banco Master to conceal risks associated with precatórios. Lindbergh Farias, a prominent member of the PT, has presented a formal complaint against Campos Neto and Banco Master for purported manipulations involving these financial instruments. The PT is also advocating for disciplinary actions against Campos Neto in the Ethics Council for the regulation that enabled Banco Master to omit risk disclosures.
