Brazilian footballer Neymar and influencer Bruna Biancardi announced the birth of their second daughter, Mel, in the early hours of Saturday, 5 July, at the Hospital São Luiz Star in São Paulo. Biancardi underwent an emergency caesarean after her water broke; both mother and baby are reported to be in good health. Mel is Neymar’s fourth child. The Santos forward is already father to Davi Lucca, 13, from a previous relationship, Mavie, one, with Biancardi, and Helena, who turned one this week and is the daughter of model Amanda Kimberlly. The couple said on social media, “Nossa Mel chegou, pra completar e adoçar ainda mais as nossas vidas,” underscoring the family’s celebrations. Santos FC excused the 33-year-old striker from Saturday’s training session so he could attend the birth. The club, which recently extended Neymar’s contract through the end of 2025, is expected to give him a short leave ahead of its next Brazilian Championship fixture against Palmeiras on 13 July.
