Crystal Palace has completed the signing of Spanish winger Yeremy Pino from Villarreal for a fee understood to be just over €30 million, the clubs confirmed on 29 August. The 22-year-old agreed a five-year contract and joins the Premier League side after six seasons with the La Liga club. Villarreal said the transfer was concluded after an improved offer from Palace, which the player accepted following earlier talks that stalled. Club president Fernando Roig described the agreement as the “most interesting solution for all parties,” noting that Pino’s contract was due to enter its final years. Pino made 170 appearances for Villarreal, scoring 22 goals and contributing 23 assists. A regular in Spain’s youth and senior squads, he played a key role in Villarreal’s 2021 Europa League triumph before a knee-ligament injury in 2023 interrupted his progress. The move gives Palace an additional attacking option as manager Oliver Glasner reshapes the squad for the new season.
