Canadian rapper Drake is arranging to charter a private aircraft to fly several prominent online personalities to this year’s Wireless Festival, scheduled for 11–13 July. The plan, mentioned during a livestream by content creator Adin Ross and echoed by multiple music-news outlets, would see Ross, members of the NELK Boys collective and other streamers travel together to Drake’s headlining set. Wireless Festival, one of Europe’s largest urban-music events, regularly draws tens of thousands of fans to London’s Finsbury Park. By inviting influencers with large online followings, Drake appears to be looking to broaden the festival’s digital reach through livestreamed content and social-media exposure, a strategy increasingly adopted by artists to amplify live performances.
