Irish rap trio Kneecap has called off its 15-date, sold-out United States tour scheduled for 1–28 October, saying the concerts clash with a London court appearance for one of its members. The group said ticket holders will receive refunds and that four Canadian dates will proceed as planned. Band member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, known on stage as Mo Chara, faces a charge brought in May under the UK Terrorism Act 2000 for allegedly displaying a Hezbollah flag during a performance in north London on 21 November 2024. A hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court last week was adjourned until 26 September, when a judge will decide whether the case should go to trial; the defence argues the charge was filed outside the legal time limit. Kneecap, which performs in Irish and English and has been outspoken in support of Palestinian causes, condemned the prosecution as a “witch-hunt” by the British government but said it intends to return to the United States once the legal matter is resolved.
