London is set to host the most attended women’s rugby match in history next month, as Twickenham prepares for the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final. The final has already sold out all 82,000 tickets, surpassing the attendance record set at Stade de France during the Paris Olympics. The tournament features sixteen teams divided into four groups, competing from August 22 until the final on November 27 at Twickenham. England’s Red Roses, motivated by previous disappointments, aim to secure the World Cup title. England has named an unchanged starting XV for their opening match against the United States, following a dominant 40-6 victory over France in their final warm-up game. Additionally, rugby union will return to Wembley Stadium in November for the first time since 2016, when South Africa will face Japan in the autumn series.
