New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) recently held the Forbidden Door event at London's O2 Arena, featuring a series of high-profile matches and title defenses. The event opened with an all-star tag match including Yuya Uemura and El Desperado, and concluded with Hiroshi Tanahashi's final UK match in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match, which ended with his signature High Fly Flow move. Zack Sabre Jr. successfully defended the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Nigel McGuinness, while Kyle Fletcher retained the TNT Championship by defeating Hiromu Takahashi. The Opps also retained the AEW World Trios Championships against the Bullet Club War Dogs. The event was broadcast live on pay-per-view and drew attention for its technical wrestling and historic moments. Following Forbidden Door, NJPW announced upcoming events including "Pyon!" on September 12 at Korakuen Hall, "Blue Justice XVI" on September 7 featuring Yuji Nagata versus Hiroshi Tanahashi in their final singles match, and "Destruction" on September 28 in Kobe with Zack Sabre Jr. defending his title against Ren Narita. G1 Climax 35 winner Konosuke Takeshita is set to challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at the King of Pro Wrestling event. Merchandise commemorating Forbidden Door and Hiroshi Tanahashi's last UK match is available through NJPW's official stores.
