Advanced Micro Devices Chief Executive Officer Lisa Su said demand for the company’s products is “significant” from both OpenAI and businesses owned by Elon Musk. Su made the remarks on 23 July during the “Winning the AI Race” event, where she appeared on stage with technology investors and entrepreneurs. While Su did not quantify the orders, she characterised the interest from the two customers as large, underscoring a growing appetite for advanced computing hardware among leading artificial-intelligence developers. Both OpenAI and Musk-backed ventures rely on high-performance chips to train and run increasingly complex AI models.
