Amphenol Corporation is set to acquire CommScope Holding's Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) business in a deal valued at approximately $10.5 billion in cash, including debt. The acquisition, which is the largest in Amphenol's history, aims to strengthen its broadband portfolio and expand its presence in data center infrastructure amid rising demand fueled by artificial intelligence developments. CommScope plans to use the proceeds from the sale to reduce its debt, redeem preferred shares, and distribute cash to shareholders. The CCS unit projects annual sales of around $3.6 billion with an EBITDA margin of 26%. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026 and is anticipated to be accretive to Amphenol's earnings per share. Both companies are headquartered in the United States, with Amphenol based in Connecticut and CommScope in North Carolina.
