Palmer Luckey discloses @anduriltech is working on a secret project to make a fully american made computer for 20% more.
Anduril Industries founder Palmer Luckey said the defense-technology company is developing a fully American-made computer, acknowledging the device is likely to cost about 20% more than comparable systems built with global supply chains. Luckey revealed the project during a July 17 appearance at the Rein Summit technology conference, where he took the stage via a remote-controlled robot. He framed the effort as part of a broader bid to reduce reliance on foreign components and argued that optimism and public enthusiasm can steer capital toward strategic technologies. Anduril, valued at more than $10 billion in its last funding round, has expanded from autonomous defense platforms into advanced hardware and software systems for U.S. government and commercial customers. Luckey did not give a launch timetable or technical specifications for the computer, saying only that further details would remain confidential for now.
