Deutsche Lufthansa AG has officially abandoned its negotiations to acquire a stake in Spain's Air Europa, leaving Turkish Airlines as the sole remaining bidder for the Spanish carrier. This development follows the recent withdrawal of Air France-KLM from the acquisition talks. Additionally, International Airlines Group (IAG) SA was denied twice in its attempts to purchase a holding in Air Europa. Lufthansa confirmed the decision through a company spokesperson, marking a shift in the competitive landscape for Air Europa's ownership. Turkish Airlines now stands as the only bidder pursuing a stake in the airline.
