Canadian toy and entertainment group Spin Master Corp. said media executive Christina Miller will become chief executive officer on 7 July 2025, succeeding Max Rangel, who is stepping down after four years in the role. Rangel will remain for about three months to assist with the transition, the company added. Miller has served as an independent director on Spin Master’s board since May 2020 and previously led WarnerMedia’s Kids, Young Adults and Classic division, overseeing Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang and Turner Classic Movies. Her appointment ends a search that kept the choice within the company’s existing leadership ranks. Spin Master’s chair and co-founder Anton Rabie credited Rangel with diversifying the business, strengthening supply-chain operations and boosting profitability. The Toronto-based company is best known for franchises such as “PAW Patrol,” Melissa & Doug and Rubik’s Cube, and operates digital platforms including Toca Boca and Piknik, which together draw about 70 million active users.
