The 2025 Fortune Global 500 list has been released, highlighting the world's largest companies by revenue. The top five companies are Walmart, Amazon, State Grid, Saudi Aramco, and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Collectively, the 500 companies generated $41.7 trillion in revenue in 2024, an increase of 1.8% from the previous year, and employed 70.1 million people worldwide. Additionally, investment returns over the past five years show that MicroStrategy led with a value increase to $336,667 from a $10,000 investment, followed by Nvidia at $169,511 and Palantir at $158,000. Walmart and Amazon remain dominant players, both ranking in the top five by revenue.
