Hackers have allegedly leaked thousands of Taylor Swift concert tickets to extort Ticketmaster. The hacker group Sp1d3rHunters claims to have leaked over 200,000 tickets, including 170,000 for Taylor Swift's ERAS Tour and 30,000 for other main events. Additionally, scalpers have reverse-engineered Ticketmaster's barcode system, enabling the resale of 'non-transferable' tickets on other platforms. This breach has led to a significant data security incident, with Ticketmaster notifying customers that personal information may have been compromised. The company is investigating the breach and cooperating with U.S. federal law enforcement authorities. The incident has created logistical challenges for fans, artists, and venues, as counterfeit tickets are now circulating widely. The hacker group Shinyhunters has reportedly leaked tickets for 154 events. Ticketmaster has also notified Canadian customers of the breach, which was first reported by Global News.
