Trinidad and Tobago has approved the deployment of U.S. warships and military operations within its waters and territory in the Caribbean. The country has also stated it will support the United States if Venezuela, under Nicolás Maduro's regime, attacks or invades neighboring Guyana. This support does not require consultation with CARICOM, the Caribbean Community. U.S. official Carlos Gimenez expressed gratitude for Trinidad and Tobago's cooperation. Additionally, France has announced its participation in the U.S.-led offensive in the Caribbean aimed at confronting the narco-terrorist organization associated with Maduro. French Interior Minister has been seen inspecting French troops stationed on the island of Martinique as part of this effort.
