Representatives for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom said on 4 July that the singer and the actor have “shifted their relationship over the past many months” and formally ended their engagement. The pair, who began dating in 2016 and became engaged in 2019, emphasised that their shared priority remains raising their four-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, “with love, stability and mutual respect.” Signs of a break-up surfaced late last month when Perry remained in Australia on her Lifetimes Tour while Bloom attended the 27 June wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sánchez in Venice without her. On 27 June the pop star posted a light-hearted “mood” update from the tour, but offered no comment on their relationship. Less than a week after the split was confirmed, the former couple were photographed with Daisy aboard Bezos’s yacht off Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Images published by several outlets on 6–8 July showed the ex-fiancés chatting on deck and strolling through coastal towns with their daughter, underscoring their intention to co-parent amicably. Perry and Bloom then travelled separately to Paris, where Perry took a front-row seat at Balenciaga’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2025/26 show on 9 July alongside Sánchez and Kim Kardashian, while Bloom kept a low profile. The public appearances cap a highly visible fortnight for the pair, who appear determined to manage the end of their nine-year relationship while maintaining family unity.
