People familiar with the situation said the company does not intend to renew Stern’s five-year, $500 million contract, which expires later this year. Stern, 71, is paid about $100 million annually under the current deal, and executives have concluded the program is no longer worth the investment, the Sun and Daily Mail reported. The move would leave roughly 95 writers and producers uncertain about their jobs, though insiders say Stern could still negotiate a shorter extension or sell his archives for replay on SiriusXM channels Howard 100 and Howard 101.
