Actor Millie Bobby Brown, 21, and her husband, model Jake Bongiovi, 23, said on Thursday that they have adopted a baby girl, becoming parents for the first time. In a joint Instagram post the couple wrote, “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” and signed off, “Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.” Brown, best known for her role as Eleven in Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” and Bongiovi, the son of singer Jon Bon Jovi, began dating in 2021, became engaged in April 2023 and married in a small ceremony in May 2024, followed by a second celebration in Tuscany that September. Brown had previously said on the “Smartless” podcast in March that starting a family—potentially through adoption—was a priority for the couple. No further details about the child or the adoption process were disclosed.
