
Apple has launched an aggressive discounting campaign on its official Tmall site in China, offering discounts of up to 2,300 yuan ($318) on select iPhone models. The discounting comes as the US tech giant seeks to defend its position in the high-end smartphone market amid fierce competition from local rivals like Huawei. This is the second time this year that Apple has offered such discounts in China. The campaign runs from May 20 to May 28 and targets the iPhone 15 models, with prices slashed by up to 20%. The move comes as Apple, led by CEO Tim Cook, faces increasing pressure in the world's largest smartphone market, where its market share is tumbling.
