Beijing has completed the second comprehensive rehearsal for the upcoming grand gathering scheduled for September 3, 2025, which will mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. The preparations include a large-scale military parade featuring new military hardware such as advanced tanks, armored vehicles, fighter jets, and missiles that have not been previously revealed. Approximately 40,000 participants took part in the rehearsal near Tiananmen Square, where columns of vehicles resembling tanks were observed. Among the new equipment is a fourth-generation hybrid tank weighing between 30 and 40 tons, designed with enhanced technological features including acoustic stealth capabilities when operating in pure electric mode. This tank is intended to function as a node within a broader information network, coordinating with drones, other tanks, and infantry fighting vehicles. Additionally, China is testing a new amphibious tank that surpasses the speed of the existing Type-05, currently the fastest amphibious fighting vehicle in service.
