The Shenzhen Stock Exchange has broadened financing options for private firms through bond issuance, according to reports from Shanghai Securities News. Additionally, the Chinese securities regulator, CSRC, is making progress on establishing a REITs Connect between mainland China and Hong Kong, although it noted that conditions are not yet suitable for REITs-based ETFs. Furthermore, the investment scope for qualified foreign investors in commodity futures and options will be expanded to include containerized freight index futures contracts starting March 4, as announced by the INE. These developments indicate a significant shift in China's approach to foreign investment in its financial markets.
