China's national urban unemployment rate for individuals aged 16 to 24, excluding students, fell to 14.5 percent in June, marking a 12-month low and the fourth consecutive monthly decline, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). This decline from the previous rate of 14.9 percent reflects ongoing challenges in the youth job market despite recent policy efforts. Additionally, the unemployment rates for other age groups also showed decreases, with the 25-29 age group dropping to 6.7 percent from 7.0 percent. The data highlights persistent labor market difficulties for younger urban populations in China.
