Sweden’s unemployment rate declined to 9.4% in June from 9.7% a month earlier, according to figures released Friday. The seasonally adjusted measure fell to 8.3%, below the 8.8% consensus forecast and down from 9.0% previously. The latest readings suggest a modest improvement in the Scandinavian country’s labour market after a prolonged period of elevated joblessness.
