CRYPTO FUNDING: Layer-2s were a fundraising focus a week after Ethereum’s Dencun upgrade https://t.co/tBBLUmffVo
Congratulations to the #Ethereum ecosystem on the recent Dencun upgrade, which introduced Proto-Danksharding. After the upgrade, the gas costs for publishing #Chainlink oracle reports on L2 rollups, such as @arbitrum, @base, and @Optimism, dropped by up to 99%. https://t.co/EGAA4oNzmY

Following the Dencun and Atlas upgrades, Ethereum's layer-2 solutions have seen significant improvements and increased attention. Experts, including Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin at ETH Taipei, have noted the surprising surge in layer-2 usage and the reduction in transaction fees. For instance, transaction fees on Arbitrum and Optimism have dropped to less than a cent, a notable decrease from previous rates. This development has not only made transactions more affordable but also attracted more users and investments to Ethereum's layer-2 networks. Additionally, the upgrade has led to a doubling or even tripling of daily transactions on Ethereum rollups. The upgrade, which introduced Proto-Danksharding, has significantly reduced gas costs for publishing Chainlink oracle reports on layer-2 rollups by up to 99%, further enhancing Ethereum's competitive positioning in the crypto space. LightLink and Starknet have also been highlighted for their low transaction fees, indicating a broader impact across various layer-2 solutions.
