A federal appeals court has revived a $180 million legal malpractice lawsuit against law firm DLA Piper. The 2nd Circuit Court vacated a federal judge's May 2023 ruling that dismissed the allegations by Chinese smart car technology company Link Motion for being filed too late. The court found that the lawsuit should have been heard in New York state court, not federal court. The malpractice suit accuses DLA Piper of mishandling a shareholder suit.
