India and China Have Reached An Agreement To Make Trade And Investment Easier With Specific Actions.
India and China announced a package of measures aimed at reviving economic and people-to-people links, including an agreement to resume direct flights between the mainland and India at the earliest opportunity and to finalise an updated Air Services Agreement. The two governments also pledged to streamline visa procedures for tourists, business travellers, journalists and other visitors, and promised “concrete measures” to facilitate bilateral trade and investment flows. Additional steps include reopening border trade through the Lipulekh, Shipki La and Nathu La passes, expanding the number of Indian pilgrims allowed to visit Kailash Manasarovar in Tibet, and backing each other’s upcoming presidencies of the BRICS group.
