Meituan, China's largest food delivery service, reported a 22.4% increase in third-quarter revenue, reaching ¥93.6 billion, surpassing market expectations despite ongoing economic challenges in China. The company also noted a substantial rise in net income, which climbed to ¥12.9 billion, reflecting a 258% year-over-year growth. This performance is attributed to consumers' increasing preference for low-cost and discounted products. In addition, Meituan's gross profit rose to ¥36.8 billion, with an adjusted EBITDA of ¥14.5 billion, marking a 135% increase. The results indicate a strong resilience against the backdrop of sluggish consumption in the Chinese market.
