Recent cybersecurity reports highlight a surge in phishing attacks targeting Microsoft users. A new campaign, identified as OneDrive Pastejacking, employs a deceptive HTML file that mimics a Microsoft OneDrive error message to lure users into executing a malicious PowerShell script. This tactic is part of a broader trend, as Israel-based security firm Perception Point has noted an increase in phishing activities utilizing Microsoft Office Forms for two-step phishing attacks. Additionally, the Gh0st RAT Trojan is reportedly targeting Chinese Windows users through a counterfeit Chrome site, while another initiative, dubbed 'Stargazer Goblin,' has created 3,000 fake GitHub accounts to facilitate malware distribution.
