Tesla has launched a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant of the Model 3 Long Range in China, featuring an 830-kilometer range according to the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC), which equates to approximately 363 miles on the EPA cycle, matching the U.S. version. The vehicle is priced from 269,500 yuan (approximately $37,490 to $37,500). Deliveries for this model are expected to begin in September 2025. The Model 3 Long Range RWD accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. Tesla has also updated other China-made Model 3 variants, including the all-wheel drive (AWD) and High Performance versions, to have the same 830 km range. Separately, in the United States, Tesla has introduced a new monthly Wheel and Tire Protection subscription plan with prices ranging from $12 to $20 depending on the model and performance variant. Tesla has also increased prices for all trims of the Model S and Model X by $10,000 to $15,000, but these trims now include Full Self-Driving (Supervised), free lifetime Supercharging, four years of premium service, and free lifetime Premium Connectivity, which is valued at approximately $15,000. New promotions for Model 3 orders in the U.S., including one year of free Supercharging and one free upgrade on eligible inventory, are set to end on August 18, 2025. Additionally, new Model Y Long Range units have been spotted arriving at showrooms in China.
