Vietnam's exports surged 16% year-on-year in July to $42.27 billion, driven by a rush from buyers aiming to avoid a 20% tariff on Vietnamese goods entering the U.S. market. Industrial production in Vietnam also increased by 8.5% in July. From January to July, Vietnam reported strong trade data, including a 22.7% rise in imports from the United States. Additionally, the country welcomed 12.23 million international visitors in the first seven months of 2025, a 22.5% increase year-on-year. Meanwhile, China’s exports in yuan terms grew 8% year-on-year in July and 7.3% from January to July, while imports dropped 1.6% over the same period.
