Xiaomi has overtaken Samsung to lead India's smartphone market with an 18% share in the June quarter of 2024. This marks a significant comeback for Xiaomi, which shares the top spot with Chinese rival Vivo, also holding an 18% market share. The Indian smartphone market grew by 1% in Q2 of 2024, while the global market saw a 6% growth during the same period. This shift comes after nearly six quarters, during which Samsung held the leading position in India’s smartphone industry, according to the South China Morning Post.
