Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers reported strong delivery performances in the first half of 2025, highlighting sustained growth in the new-energy vehicle (NEV) sector amid increasing competition. XPeng Motors delivered 34,611 vehicles in June 2025, a 224% year-over-year increase, marking the eighth consecutive month with deliveries exceeding 30,000 units. XPeng's total deliveries for the second quarter reached a record 103,181 units, with first-half deliveries totaling 197,189 units, surpassing the entire previous year's deliveries. Li Auto delivered 36,279 vehicles in June 2025, representing a 24% decline year-over-year, with second-quarter deliveries totaling 111,074 units. NIO Inc. reported a 71.2% quarter-over-quarter increase, delivering 24,925 vehicles in June, marking its second-highest monthly delivery on record. In contrast, Ford's U.S. electric vehicle sales declined by 31.4% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2025, with total sales of 16,438 units. Key Ford models included the Mustang Mach-E with 10,178 units sold (-19.5% YoY), F-150 Lightning with 5,842 units (-26% YoY), and E-Transit with 418 units (-88% YoY).
