Coupang Inc. reported second-quarter 2025 revenue of $8.5 billion, topping the $8.31 billion consensus estimate as overseas expansion continued to lift sales. Diluted earnings per share were $0.02, falling short of Wall Street’s $0.07 forecast. Total net revenue rose 16% from a year earlier. Product Commerce, the company’s core retail business, generated $7.3 billion, up 14%, while Developing Offerings—such as food delivery and fintech services—grew 33% to $1.2 billion. Gross profit increased 22% to $2.6 billion, pushing the gross margin to 30%. The Seoul-based company recorded net income of $32 million and trailing-twelve-month free cash flow of $780 million, even after absorbing $235 million in losses tied to newer businesses. Active customers climbed 10% to 23.9 million. Momentum outside South Korea remains a key driver. Revenue in Taiwan, Coupang’s largest international market, surged 54% from the prior quarter and tripled year-over-year. Management said it expects Taiwan sales to expand at a triple-digit pace again in the third quarter, supported by a wider product assortment, the rollout of Coupang Cloud and continued investment in artificial-intelligence capabilities.
